When I think back to the way you were

and how I felt there could be no better

I smile, because of how wrong I was

She asked me once, you were in long relationships

yet you love me more than anyone before, how is that possible?

and I smiled, because she's so modest.

In her, I see everything I ever wanted

but so much more than I ever even thought was possible

and I smile, because of how amazing she is

A friend told me, don't ever compare anyone to you

because I'd always find something wrong

and I smile, because there is no comparison

I sometimes think back to the way things used to be

and how blessed I am now, to be with her
