Timeless

I often stare into the spaces that divide us

Placing my fingertips into the night's sky

Tracing your lips,

But every kiss I blow blows in the wind, and I'm left struggling, searching for your image again....

I guess our memories have grown thin...

Time is us....

And now it make sense that we can't get it back....

Wasted thoughts and dreams - only to cling onto store bought emotions, and devotion that only wishes it looked like the real thing....

I still sing in silence.... revealing secrets inside me....

Awaiting time to decide if I'm worthy or not -

But time is us.... so many things we haven't forgotten....

So many things we forgot to remember.....

Our intimacies are now the distance between us.....

Imagine strumming the strings of cords of distant memories....

Deciphering musical notes of our song's silence....

I guess time will also tell whenever I'm inside you - again....

But time is us, and I never left to begin with....

Just lying..... emotionless....

Waiting for time to resurrect my motions....

And I've felt your heart beat all the while....

While my replacements pushed me aside - pounding on the walls of your heart....

Beating drums of one night stands.... And

I felt every thrust of lust, trying to replace love - and tasted every tear of pain and pleasure that fell from your cheek....

Waiting for time to send the day that we would again meet....

But time is us - And here we are....

Awaiting tomorrow....

Til time is no longer us -

And we become timeless.

Such a hauntingly rueful and

Such a hauntingly rueful and searching poem, I like the time analogy and how it wraps up in the end,

With more than one meaning

Ie out of time

Or

A timeless couple

Or

A timeless story

Or

A timeless pain that lives again and again

Thanks for sharing some beautifu and soulful l imagery. Cheerss
