on Day of Fool (nothing personal)

I didn't believe it but, you know,
Out my window I saw snow
As the exception of the rule
This snow was true on Day of Fool

I checked email encouraged so
In your reply I found though
As no exception to the rule
Your "No" was true on Day of Fool

And in the mirror on the wall
The fool was there looking small
As no exception to the rule
The fool stays fool on Day of Fool

Nice poem this one. I think you can do vell with a couple of more verses though. Why is the I-person a fool? Is he/she hoping for something that's not going to happen?

I'm always lying, in fact, I'm lying to you right now.
