Whenever You Call

Folder:
August 2002 Poetry

Whenever you call,

I’m so afraid,

you’re going to say it’s over.

Whenever you call,

I’m so afraid,

you’re going to say you don’t love me anymore.

Whenever you call,

my body gets so tense,

for fear I’ll lose you.

Then I hear those three words,

I love you,

and I know,

that everything’s gonna be okay.

I just wanted to let you know how very much this poem touched me. I'm just happy to know that someone out there shares the same fears that I do. I feel the end coming in my relationship, and this one touched me in a very special way. Thanks for writing.
