Cafe

Folder:
June 2002 Poetry

Two lovers,

sit in the café

on main street.

Holding hands,

from across the table.

Gazing into each others eyes,

so lovingly.

They’ve been together,

for so long.

And want to be together,

for the rest of their lives.

So he asks her,

to marry him.

Holding the little velvet box,

he expresses his love to her.

Their lives will be forever changed.

This is the beginning,

of something beautiful.

All starting,

in the café,

on main street.
