Glass Heart

A caution sign is hung,

above the door of my soul.

Warning you,

of my fragile heart.

Made of glass.

Easily broken,

if put into the wrong hands.

Filled with love for you,

I put my heart,

in your hands.

And hope,

it won’t fall from your grasp.

If kept long enough,

you may be able,

to strengthen this glass heart.

Hold it tight,

yet loose.

For if you hold it too tight,

you could break it.

A caution sign is hung,

above the door of my soul,

warning you,

of my glass heart.

I absolutely love this. Probably because it perfectly describes the point I am at in my own life. But anyway it's beautiful.
