Fallen?

Folder:
Improv 2002

How can you say you’ve fallen for me,

when you were at a low.

You had no one to confide in,

you had no place to go.

~

We started talking late one night,

you thought you fell for me.

But how can this be true,

when we do not agree?

~

I had feelings for another,

and you could not understand,

that I was head over heals in love,

in love with another man.

~

You couldn’t accept that fact,

that I didn’t fall for you.

So you shaded your new world,

in a shade of lonesome blue.

~

So how can you say you’ve fallen,

when you don’t really know me at all?

Besides you’re way to low to know,

what it’s like to even fall.

~

I know what it’s like to fall,

and smash into the ground.

That love that you thought you had,

wasn’t there to be found.

~

No one was there to catch you,

so I helped you on the way.

I just hope that you will see,

you’ll be happy again someday.

nice word choice. guys can't really always accept that girls don't love them back, it's sad but true. Sometimes when we barely know them, they think we should.
I like the ending, because it's very true, realistic, and put in a light-hearted way.
