Where did you go? I haven't seen you

in so long.

I’ve wanted to tell you what you

taught me helped me stay strong.

Your lessons have followed me all these

years.

With strength and an open mind I face my

fears.

Until there are no more, you’ve helped me open up these doors.

I face every challenge with empathy,

I create a strategy.

Won’t let it make me weak.

I am heard when I speak.

My confidence has a voice of its

own.

But I didn't get here alone.

It’s been your strength and guidance.

Your memory, your presence, you shaped me

into who I am.

Because of that I have high expectations for

the person I'll become.

Thanks to all the hard work you have done.

In this world where I go I demand to be

respected.

Nothing less can be expected.

Because you taught me these lessons of life,

So I say this gladly,

I am who I am because of you daddy.
