Blue Moon Hue

Karyn Indursky

Shall I compare thy eyes to my sunset?

Thy have more blue ocean depth emotion.

Thy season of expression is perplex

unlike green leaves blowing in the light breeze

singing melodies of complexities

of a ripened strawberry red heart weeze

Your eyes are a soft slumbeirng dark blue

with pools of emotion simmering down

while your shaded character makes a hue

far more beautiful than oak tree brown

As long as the sun sets my tranquil days

I will always be caught in your blue haze.

Author's Notes/Comments:

A sonnet is a 14 line poem comparing 2 unlike things (seemingly) in ab cdcd efef gg format.
