Stop Offending Me

You open your mouth 

accusing me of harassment

when I'm not doing that at all. 

You open your mouth

telling I'm bored when 

countless times I've told you 

I don't get bored.

You open your mouth

claiming I only smile

when I think of 

kissing, foreplay, or sex

and you don't know

how I'm feeling or

what I'm thinking.

You open your mouth

criticizing me, but you're not God

and can't expect perfection.

You open your mouth

telling me people have to be

desperate to be my friend

when I'm probably a better friend 

than you can imagine.

You open your mouth

to talk, but I'm not supposed

to communicate or 

let me be myself from my personality

to my love for reading and writing.

You open your mouth

telling me I'm always a smart-ass

or forever sarcastic, 

but you're not me.

Don't run your mouth 

and get to know me.
