With the crack of the bat,
he's dashing for first
as his heaving chest
rising and falls in an adrenaline surge,
giving his masculine legs strength
to claim second faster than first
with pounding cleats hitting
harder and harder and harder still
kicking up dust as he trudges onward
kicking up dirt, mud, and everything
daring to be in his way to
third base with a zest telling him
home plate is his for this is...
his first homerun!!!
