Water brushes threading arms
as she swims like graceful dolphins
to sit upon a rock
with her curly butterscotch tendrils
tickling sandy seashells covering
breasts while she daydreams
with her greenish blue tail flapping
thoughtfully before she dives
back into the water
in order to avoid the fisherman
catching her in his net
for cashing her in proudly
without feeling remorse about
what they will do to this
mermaid.
