who has given me
the gift of life.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
my beloved son.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
the ability to adapt.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
patience, understanding, tolerance.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
unconditional love.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
guardian angels.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
angels on Earth and beyond.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
my family, friends, acquaintances.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
help, life lessons, persistence.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
the ability to be a survivor.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
faith, religion, liberality.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
animals to care for.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
all His inhabitants on Earth.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
the courage to continue trying.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
the blessing of hearing with more than ears.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
His eyes when I couldn't see.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
His arms when I needed to be held, carried, nurtured.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
His time, ears, acceptance.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
what I need.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
what I want and more.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
the opportunity to appreciate Him and His helpers.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
a passage into enlightened.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
words to express my spirituality.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
more than I can give back.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
the right to share my opinions.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
freedom, literacy, intelligence.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
the strength to share this poem.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
the air that fills my lungs.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
everyone and thing that means so much to Him.

 

Ode to Jesus,
who has given me
the key to His heart.

who has given me
you.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

I wrote this poem this morning, even though I felt the desire to write it last night after God spared our health and roof of our house from a massive storm. There was a lot of damage, but believe me it could've been a lot worse than it was and God was watching over us. God bless you!
