The Wild Sea Calls

I don't want to leave you all

But I hear the wild sea call

If I give in to your tears then I am failing

I live to sail and my life is sailing

Oh I long to be near the water

Don't want to be an average daughter

Love you all, but goodbye

Don't want to leave you as you cry

I like this poem. I saw it as symbolism of emotions being a tide with the troughs and crests rapidly changing. Maybe, I just read too much into it, but it's a wonderful read.
