Attack

Attack

I saw you crashing, and my heart crashed with you.

I saw you fall and America learned how to cry.

I saw the fire coming from you side, and you were forever burned into my memory.

I saw your wreckage covering bodies, and I learned about mortality.

I saw the smoke where you once stood, and a cloud was lifted from my eyes.

I saw how you once stood proud, and how your pride was taken.

I saw how you once stood for America, and how America now stands for you.

September 11, 2001 will forever be etched in our hearts, our minds, and our souls.  You will not be forgotten, nor could you ever be replaced.

This poem is touching. You have a lot of talent to work with. I wish you the best with it. Feel free to check out mine, but be warned they are a bit graphic.
