If my life were a poem

If my life were a poem
Sad and lonely it'd be

Shades of grey I see
With a spot of colour
For a moment of perfection

Perfection of the moment
Surrounded by dreary
Dreams of reality

Reality in the heavens
Shinning down upon me
With its perfect clarity

Clearly now i see it
All the things
That I once had

If my life were a poem
empty and abandoned it'd be

I broke and I twisted
The people that I loved
In that moment of perfection

Perfection of that moment
Drowned in vibrant
Reality of my dreams

Dreams in hell
Burning through me
With perfect clarity

Clearly now i see it
All the things
That I once had

If my life were a poem
destroyed and suicidal it'd be

Clearly now I see it
All the things
That I once had

If my life were a poem
Over and over I would read it

Until the end of time you see
I fell in love in that moment
Of perfection

Clearly now i see it
All the things
That I once had

Clearly now I see it
All the things
That I once had

If my life were a poem
Forever I would last
In a moment of perfection
Till the end of time you see
