Sentinel

If you are a friend,

    Or wish to be this,

When finding pestilence,

    And war makes you sick.

Endeavor to the call,

Of the ones who be lame,

Whether in body,

    Finance or brain.

Try to repair,

    What the story unfolds,

When ‘earing a tale,

    That leaves many cold.

Resolution may come,

    By simple exclaim'.

If there be compassion,

    Then there is no shame.

Alone is the fool,

    And alone be the wise,

But many are accused,

    And many are tried.

A small offering of time,

    With no feeling to impress,

Well frees us from judgement,

    In true forgiveness.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I find that one of the precious things in this world is time and to share it with another is a true act.
