Its Another Day

Well the sun is beaming brightly,

Upon the land around,

And the birds are chirping lightly,

With a distant but joyous sound.

And we got to sleep in a bit,

As it's Saturday when we rest,

And I didn't awake with the morning panic,

Of another day that puts me to the test.

And though my hand's still blistered,

From my party trick last week,

And it's Capacitance and Resistance,

That will be needed for my peak,

It's another day that begs that,

For another practiced feat.

So today I shall let it slack,

And in retreat extol the sweet.

And as I say my daily prayers,

Giving thanks and asking guidance,

I hope to get my laundry aired,

Because it asks for my alliance,

With hope I'll be able to greet the door,

And with a smile and nod let in,

Because I can't remember any more,

What's really worth forgetting.

If at times a day or days or weeks or what seems a seemingly never-ending time of duress occurs, please hold on, for there comes a day for us all.

I enjoyed this poem, especially the start of it where you paint a cheery picture. A lot of truth in this poem. Thanks for sharing it with us. Angelwolf
