Gift Unexpected

She came to me with lips of peppermint,
sweet and luscious to my senses.
A Christmas gift that was unexpected,
whilst I had almost given up on love.
Joyous thoughts now fill my mind,
as her warmth has found my soul.
Holiday wishes now blessed upon me,
with Santa’s sleigh viewed across the moon.

I love this poem! I think it really portrays what we humans think of as love. I only wish this stuff could apply to me!
