Stains of Time

Folder:
2009 Poetry

She stands behind the frosted glass of time,

wishing things were different between them.

Knowing what she did to him was a crime,

resulting in ways for him to condemn.

Staring through the stains of life long regret,

hoping there were ways for him to forgive.

Time passed and added up way too much debt,

for him to go on and try to relive.

Now she is pressed against her own dark thoughts,

living with the results without his touch.

Choking on her life’s rope lengthened in knots,

not allowing her the excuse of a crutch.

Too many tears have flowed for what was done,

forgiveness in his worn heart he has none.

She must have done something really bad, I'm sure he called her by her first and complete name and told her to get in here!lol.A poignant poem, and again, a success.
