2008 Poetry

Darkness sheds

its shadow tonight,

light ignites

blinding thought.

Epiphany consumes me

as genius takes flight.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Shadorma

The Shadorma is a Spanish form, of six unrhymed lines.
However, it is a syllabic poem, so there is a strict number of syllables per line.

The line/syllable pattern is as follows:

3 - 5 - 3 - 3 - 7 - 5

There is no rhyme requirement...
but there's nothing to say you cannot use rhyme.
