Remembering 9/11

Folder:
2002 Poetry

I remember the events of that dreadful day,

we all were horrified with complete dismay.

The news for all was too terrible to bear,

with things happening that we had to fear.

People in this world with hearts of black,

trying to make our spirits crack.

Causing destruction beyond comprehension,

giving us thoughts of terrible apprehension.

Evil people in league with the devil,

causing both towers to completely level.

Killing thousands because of their hate,

but we'll get even just you wait.

Those with black hearts will suffer their fate,

when we make them approach the pearly gate.

Saint Peter won't stop a second to dwell,

he'll send them away to burn in Hell.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This first anniversary made me want to write something so I could remember in my own way.

God watch over the souls and the families of those lost on that dark day in our history.
