Moonlight on the Sea

Folder:
2003 Poetry

We walk along hand in hand

Cool water splashing on our toes

Dragging our feet in surf and sand

Oh, how sweet our true love grows

Warmth of love ignites our souls

Intensely sharing our karma's flow

Knowing we have the same life goals

Losing all track of time as we go

Deeper and deeper as we walk

Looking into each others eyes

Feeling both our hearts unlock

Seeing the sparkle of fireflies

Sensing our hearts going up a degree

As we watch the moonlight on the sea

Beautiful and sweet. Sometimes when you read poems that rhyme on the end line you can feel it's forced, like they're tring to find a word to rhyme with another one just for the sake of it, but I haven't found that with this poem, it's like the words have always been there. Well done.
