Love Lost

Folder:
2009 Poetry

Love dripping slowly though my finger tips,

as it has done so many times before.

A quiver shaking upon my sour lips,

you saying bye as you walked out the door.

I have feared this time would slowly arrive,

‘cause little hints have echoed in my mind.

Filling every thought with ways to survive,

relentless I tried but I could not find.

I am here where no pleasures are to be,

only the pain of a love lost forever.

No more chances for you to hear my plea,

a relationship which we must sever.

You will always hold a place in my heart,

even though we will be forever apart.

An adage has it that when a beautiful lady marries two husbands, then she can discover the best, love may be lost, but
true love can never be lost.

Great piece of poetry about love.
You're quickly becoming my favorite
poet. Very beautiful.
