Ten, Ten, Ten

Folder:
2009 Poetry

When making decisions one should consider

the consequences over three time frames.

First is what’s the result in ten minutes,

fully understanding the reaction.

Once you have thought this through continue on,

considering the outcome ten months out.

Will it prove this test of time or crumble,

needing you to deal with it once again.

Then ponder the strategic goal results,

thinking forward ten years planning long term.

Sometimes results created over years,

offsets what we live with over less time.

The ten, ten, ten, principle it is called,

practiced with wisdom by those so informed.

In youth we need to use this
formula. Planning long term
would be smart.
