Counterfeit World

Deticated to: My younger Sister Tessa

10-25-03

The world crashes down around me,

And the sin is on my tongue,

Suffocating me of all I am

But I am not sure I am a part of it

You cause me so much injury in a world

Laid upon the building blocks of pain

Salting my wounds along the way,

Your life is brittle

And you're breaking it

Im not sure what to do,

I can't help you

Go first and help yourself

I've got to write myself a brand new world

Without you

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem was written during a writers conferance when we were given a certain amount of time to wright a poem about praise, I had to wright another because this one wasn't exactly "praisworthy"
