With reason, with spite,
Choose how you may
There will be consequences either way
The good once said will be construed
The bad once heard will be pursued
Why make it up?
Is it really true?
Its infectious gale to the leaf of rue

Author's Notes/Comments: 

I like to put feeling in my expression of a rumor. With good reason or just in spite, a rumor is a rumor. I compare it to a powerful storm (gale) with vison of violent wide spread destruction and "rue" being used for its, "poision ivy like irritation."
