Summer Night

The crowd is so thick,

Laughter fills the air,

Smiles for everyone,

For a time, not a care.

Coversation is plenty,

Time for fun tonight.

Children's giggles rise,

The world seems so right.

How many of these,

Sitting around my face,

Know the Son of God,

Have they ever known His grace.

Do they know You, Lord?

Is Jesus their friend,

Are they heaven bound?

When this life does end?

How many are lost?

Darkness fills their souls?

Do they even understand?

The sin that takes a toll?

Lord, help me to share,

With Your children in need,

That they will learn to see You,

Taking Your hand to lead.
