A Picture of Salvation

The tree is trimmed,

The lights shining bright.

The presents are wrapped,

Each bow tied just right.

The house has grown quiet,

The children asleep in their beds.

We know they are dreaming,

Fun thoughts dance in their heads.

The stars are twinkling,

They want us to recall,

The night that this all began,

The babe born in the stall.

The day the King was born,

His plan to buy our souls.

To bring and end to works,

Mercy is now the goal.

The tree such a pretty green,

Shows an everlasting life.

The candy canes, red and white,

A picture of the end of strife.

The lights there to remind us,

The star that led to the wise.

Presents are the picture,

A Savior, for us, did rise.

Look around the beauty,

Look past the worlds view.

The symbols are meant to recall,

Salvation brings a life anew!
