Reflection of Changes
An interesting thing happened today,
I looked into the mirror and saw someone new.
She smiled at me in a familiar way,
I smiled back in wonder, "Does she have a clue?"
This person looking back intently at me,
Seemed to understand God has a plan for life.
She seemed to be able to really see,
The child of God, she looked past her strife.
A sparkle in her eyes gave the hint,
That praising God had taught her to stand.
This person had not a perfect life spent,
But in forgiveness she'd taken God's hand.
As I saw just a glimpse of this woman,
A realization struck, "I'm looking through God's eyes!"
God wants me to see His loving plan,
Accepting His grace, not my thought's lies.
Through spending time with God on my knees,
Getting to know God and his plans for good.
Learning to love the woman before me,
Trusting in God like I never thought I could!
Learning to accept the Father's love,
His vision of me the true picture.
Rejecting the lies with strength from above,
His glory reflects the forgiven and pure.
