IN HIS TRANCE

Folder:
2003 Poetry

I heard you spoke of her

itching to know who she was

I inclined closely toward your lips

my ears waited impatiently

and my hands were burning

to land on your cheek

snores ensued my long wait

your lips--sealed and silent

like an innocent baby asleep

while I remained wordless

just grinding my teeth

and crushing my pillow

abruptly, the moon turned to sun

you tendered your lips to mine

my silence made the coffee warmer

smoke rings smothering me

trying to block my air passage

and before you left me my sanity

you smiled and whispered to me

"I dreamed of us last night"

Thank you Zeebe for that wonderful comment.
You've been a wonderful poet friend to me
and I deeply appreciate that :O)

Sometimes Im imagining myself having this
kind of attitude to my Husband. But I know
where I am in his heart and mind. Jealousy
is healthy, just don't overdose yourself with it.
Okay? ;O)
