my four year-old daughter

got my stunning exterior

but that isn’t the only reason

why I so love her



her smirk flashes a dimple

enough to swing me in dreamland

her skin is sandwiched between

tan and rose-pink white

and her hair slightly curly

can be mistaken as dyed mahogany

but that aren’t my only reasons

in loving her



when she giggles

music plays a crescendo to my ears

but this too isn’t the only reason why

i love my ever dearest daughter

she’s a reminder of my love to my husband

and my husband to me

and that’s the main reason

why i very much love

my wonderful four-year old daughter
