MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Folder:
2001 Poetry

The time of the year

To remember and endear

Loved ones and acquaintance

Trading gifts and cheers

Sharing moments not just to rejoice

But to commemorate the meaning

Of this out of the ordinary day

When we know the deepest origin

Why we have to be high in spirit

Classy presents that we give and take

Graded only as second best

What counts the most is this once in a year time

When kith and kin gather before a table

To share a feast as meaningful as this

The grandeur of kisses and warm embraces

We so evocatively give and receive

Every time we state the saccharine phrase

“Have a Wonderful Christmas”
