a handsome face
likely hiding
some very conflicting thoughts
some shards of truth
twisted in their subtle inflection
wrapped up in delusions
to run the country via
a conservative ideal
in which such notion is mangled
and not so readily believed
a scary precipice
America stands upon
these last few short weeks
the choice between
a man currently at the helm of
a much too slowly stabilizing economy
verses a man who speaks from
both sides of his mouth
contradicting himself at regular intervals
cheering for some glory days that
truly never were
that is unless many could say honestly
for themselves
if they knew what they know now
they would live how they lived then
I'll stick to the hope of the devil I know
rather than risk more downfall to come
from the devil I don't
besides
ultra wealthy, arrogant men, too use to
getting their own way
one would think would make lousy candidates
for the man of the people slot
that is just about to open.............
