one of
the sweetest raptures heard
is bestowed upon the senses
via the human ear
from the specific energy source
received
by that one particular loving voice
so carefully listened for
proof that life without the service of the ear
would be little more than merely
a deafening silence
a loss never quite recovered from
which we know sometimes
the unrealized loss can be
the greatest loss of all
'twould be a silence stilled
in that former service's
very own distinct death
which would make true
healing near that
at some levels
highly improbable
because deep down
the soul would know
love that should have been
somehow got set aside............
