staggering stratosphere
limp out to brand your
celestial children
with names they
cannot live up to
scientists crow
in their theses
over findings
long now unexpected
a subtle pushing out
of planetary status
Pluto cringes
at the dark fringes
of a sci fi like nightmare
pitting his identity
against
reconfigurations
of men
who took away
a status he has long
now lived under
in many a school
child's mind
forever leaving
his story to be
that of a planet
that once was
poor Pluto..................
