in her 'Conversation'
I happened upon
her own self
awaiting
a connection
to such
particular content
through the depth
of her style
and truth in each her
mind's line
I saw snippets of
my own past
through her laconic rhyme
as if she were
the determined hammer
and I, the appointed nail
I was quite taken back
to the umpteen instances
and the timeless honesty
of her metered trail
in other words
she had me
from her very first
whack.................
