I AND MY FLU

Folder:
JOURNAL # 41

a somber promise
before a
mentor's moon
yet many
spinning sofas later
the heart holds a dagger
stabbing holes in
my otherwise
quaint little afternoon
queer to the eye
thus moment taps
out its own little tune
restless achiever
how so habit forming
such hardships do seem
ill advised
as they wallow in ruin
besotted believer
sign off soon on such
adoration sans requiem
opportunity pities
the contemplation of the drive
as the medicine cabinet
bellows out
her operatic revision of relief
coming soon
cough medicine
you need to take
more cough medicine
such thought suddenly filters through
and in the stupor of my flu like fog
I hear my yet to be taken shower
heartily agree
that indeed is what 'I And My Flu
should do..............
