I've been painting
'Landscapes Upon Skylines'
for so long now
which gives new meaning to the term
high rise
paper moments constructed
with faulty construction paper
lilting love adrift on an endless
sea
no moorings for my listing heart
does any port I encounter
possess
just more lunatics drifting
in the same predicament as me
it is a pity indeed
that more of this world
can't exchange valentines
with the bottomless sea
then Atlantis could get in on the act
and two worlds could come to collide
ideally and really to be
emptiness would be put on a burning
boat of hopeless dreams
and to the island of redemption
everyone's little ship would steam............
