LIMERICKS IN PAINTED SNOW

Folder:
JOURNAL # 41

what are poems
but mere
'Limericks In Painted Snow'
words that want to
be so much more than
their mere word form
but have no platform
on which to give a show
so the poet in his or her way
shows off to the world
that which she has discovered
in some new way to say
love conquers every adversity
motive is but anger on the move
from a broad spectrum we siphon
energy from our atmosphere's wounds
how glorious are the walls
we find in ourselves the strength to step
out and over through
blinded with mercy
as we are
we grow out of these small
selves we've been given to
and return better to the eternity
that has always been ours
bigger in ourselves for having
been kept smaller
in a place where death is held over
every living tissue
until that bond of flesh we
break through...............

about how poets beautify the world and help others to better understand it and themselves and why we have lives and experience the suffering that we do.
