AN UN-FAIRY-LIKE TALE *

Folder:
JOURNAL # 37

ah
your fairy
alas
she came
though so un-fairy-like
be she
in her way, deed and name
she sat you up and
straightened your suit
she told you things
about yourself
that play on in your
heart today
like Mozart's Magic flute
she was guileless and kind
wickedly delicious in her wit
yet rather sage like of the mind
you were smitten, entranced and
captivated
she confronted you, whom she did
not fully recognize
she cornered the poet in his den
so deflated
and made the man behind him remove
his disguise
now you stand in her eyes
more handsome and daring than the likes
of Flynn
(Errol that is!)
and she is yours from now until only you
say when...............

Author's Notes/Comments:

I am shocking myself greatly. Again, I came upon not one but two more poems I had written nearly a year ago now and not posted on my poetry page and to think I neve caught either of them until now. Anyway, of course this is written for the man who has captured my enchantment and made it his own. Apparently so much so back then that I couldn't keep my mind sorted out enough to post the poems I'd written for him. That comment I am sure will make him smile. Anyway, enjoy and once again sorry for the lateness of the posting.
