I heard the other day
in of all things
a commercial
the fellow say
Stop 'Over Thinking The Metaphor'
and I laughed thinking to myself
now how many times in my life
have I done just that
far too many to count
if I were to be thoroughly
honest with myself
listening to that was like
someone speaking a thought
in my presence that I myself
had never thought before
amazing
such a turn of an intelligent
phrase
could so abruptly bring my
mind to heel
and stir for me
this about face poem.................
