PASSING THROUGH MIDNIGHT'S FRENZY

Folder:
JOURNAL#16

if wishes were kisses

I would have kissed you long, long ago

just for who you are

our hearts they beat out for one another

a sweetly erratic tempo

yet, oh how my tempo longs for yours

and yours alone

in humming decimals that ever so subtly

over throw any previous notion

as to what true love really feels like

a concrete slab of syrupy madness that

seeps into the bones

or a warm all over shivery quiver that

refuses to cease whenever you are near

oh, if only your daringly solid presence

were more like an exquisitely frosted cake

for just but one small perfect piece

I would barter with any soul to take

then I could harness my deeply enthralled

exuberance over having found you into some

form of brash colorful retrospect

and never again to your enormously beautiful

wild heart's will and want would I ever

even if only slightly object

for my midnight pulse is yours to escalate

unto or through any chosen frenzy you wish.........

this poetic pledge I offer to you warmly rich on

a creative thought of rare spun gold

lain out upon the finest emotional serving dish.........
