THE SENSUALIST

Folder:
JOURNAL#16

he knows no true word than that of daring romance

he allows his prey but one lingering look

to smolder at a glance

true beauty in its most alluring form does not

require any specific nor stunning physical attribute

the one true defining point of the most unique

human work of art is a clever tongue harnessed only

by an even more exciting mind that's famed for being

astute

cultured creativity hails from the sensational

pinnacle that sets all man's finer desires apart

true depth of spirit lies in the soul

of the poet

the lover

why, even the most patient rogue's heart

all these entities in and of themselves

share threads of a common bond

its called rich, romantic fervor

a flavor for love

A.K.A the spark

gallantly sophisticated love play

takes talent and genuine tenderness

it has to be felt

embraced by one's very own blood

like the masters who create the finer works

of art

they are scholars to the visual side of

romance

Picasso was a natural Sensualist

Renoir, Van Gogh and Rembrandt too

their timeless gifts were visual desire

the near tangible ecstasy

a culmination of but a rare chosen few

today we lavish in their remarkable talent

sense the deep Sensualism viewed in the

lust of their passionate paints

their canvas becomes the spiritual marriage

bed

where all the more magnificent mates of

life meet

linking all physical man to the rapt beauty of

the sensual brain

those today who recognize such link in themselves

are seen as eccentric, vividly erotic, perhaps

even strange

when in fact they are (or could be) models of

modern sensationalism

that we can not allow to be discouraged, trampled

upon or lost

for if we allow the sensualist in us to die

then we stifle the purer self in its everyday living

in short, we snuff out one of the crucial aspects

that makes us unique and separates us from our

animal counterparts

our individuality where being human is concerned.....
