I like to write poems that entice

as well as ones that do not always read as nice

I subject my readers to an exciting literary ride

where pen and page creatively collide

childhood memories often make for a good read

for some things do happen to all of us

so seeing certain incidents put into words

I feel somehow fills a need

family makes for a good source to write about

with only minimal conflict

and appreciation for the underlying bond

these are ideas that I have often picked

religion in my writings often flies her flag

quite high

my grandmother lends her spirit to me when I write

that, I feel is why

I've never been certain just why I was given

even a dash of talent to inspire me to write

perhaps it is something I needed to do to learn

some valuable lesson in this life

but if not

well, at least it seems to fit into my scope

of things................
