Hi Holly was Santa's jolliest elf

whether he was working in his work shop

or skate boarding on top of the toys shelf

he never lied nor cried

played any mean games or tried to hide

he owned up to his many pranks

and at each meal he always gave thanks

he absolutely burst with energy

and was so much fun

kind he was the only one

why, some of the elves actually believed him

to be an ancestor of the sun

for he never went down except of course to sleep

then he was right back up

and raring to leap

either back into his work or one of his

favorite forms of play

when Hi Holly was around there was no such

thing as a long boring Winter's day

he loved to ski and build gigantic snow men

think of fun, new kinds of toys and then

personally build them

Hi Holly has lived at the North Pole now for

a long, long time

he still does as he likes

while building trains, sleds and bikes

and over the years, to him, Santa has taken

quite a shine

and some in Elf ville even believe that he is

The Next in line

for a most highly sought after thrown

why, the one who takes that very special trip

each year in the middle of the night

that throughout the world so desperately needs

to be flown.....................
