SUN STRUCK

Folder:
JOURNAL #19

the sun shone madly today

gazing upon the moon crests of

my pinkened toes

lovestruck almost

or as if it were meant to pay

some dandy form of homage

to my calm little stroll

along this lost stretch of forgotten

beach

attentive was the beams

though pressed as if in some solemn

repose

just like my thoughts

copacetic were our movements

yet how utterly absurd

I found myself thinking

the sun has never seemed so submissive

to me before

except

when into the cradle of the cooling night

one found it silently though sometimes

a little too sadly sinking

so perhaps

its amiable docility today

simply must be

my much too fruitful imagination's making

that was when

while meandering through my many jostled

thoughts this very poem materialized

just like that.............
