it was a beautiful mutual idea

we planned it as one

a breezy trip off together to a

lazy distant shore

chasing after the grass

right up to the very feet of the Sun

a sporadic trip to a country Inn

we took

hopping in the car with our day bags

on board

upon the shelves of the outdoors

before us long windy country roads

undulate far out to the horizon's hip

a touch of Spring to kiss our smiling

cheeks

why this is a weekend I could fall in

love with

just me and thee together alone

for 48 undisturbed hours

a delicious us to be

a couple in deed to sleep, lay, walk,

drive and eat, make love, laugh and roam

a scenic overlook

just the place

to stop and take pictures

ah wait, I say you owe me at least

a twenty minute kiss

for thou and thee and as I stretch

out my arms wide, and all of this

amazing this

kiss me my sir I say

fulfill your woman's need

your eyes squint in the sunlight

and you are smiling so gorgeous

to agree

as you pull me close and  

take me in

to drink of my softly offered lips

'I love this day!' you whisper

in my happy right ear

and I love this exact perfect moment

I say back as I draw you most

unembarrassingly near

now if you don't kiss me ripe and

proper and just a little bit dirty

I may have to have a big baby tantrum

right now and here

you grin and comply

hugging me warm and close

amid an affectionate sigh

as I melt giving back my own lips reply

I'll never forget this whole everything

I say

mouthing every last word into

your warm hugging form

and as the wind whips wildly around

slapping at my hair

while the sun bathes my wind burnt face

you say, and there was never a lovelier

creature born

ah mon ami, how I wish

I could give you in that

mentioned place that one amazing kiss

just that one something that you could

hold onto and not for a moment ever forget

that would be

for you,

my ultimate gift............
