a blown up suspicion
felled in the initial
conception
its a shadow that looms
over promises
with dashed hopes
that are
continuously spoken
aloud
in creative twisted riddles
disillusions own broach
further tarnished
by the shear entirety
known as man
that today is worn
to take out another's garbage
a war
feverishly fought
so to win the rights
to stamp out
another's religiously narrowed
out look
misery reigns some 75 days or more
now all for but some grim restitution
for the sporadic charms of military
action
fairness in this hell
plays no real nor recognizable part
thine enemies have seen to that
such unilateral hate only fuels
the ever present upheaval
slogging away at the old way of life
just beneath the surface
ever ready to fiercely rise again
to maliciously murder and maim
many an innocent more
which mostly consists of the wives
and children of simple men
there is a once whispered now shouted
echo here
can you hear it
Holocaust
this last decade of the 20th century
is inundated with
its legacy......................
