EXPOSED TO NATURE

Folder:
JOURNAL #13

nature's charm so elegantly sweet

off to great meadows of new surprise

I take retreat

incredible comedic characters in a forest

filled of green

churn out each his own chorus

letting me know that I, they have seen

an interloper on an innocent mid-morning stroll

down by the lake

catching the breeze in her hair

the lazy wind begins to roll

on this casual walk she has chosen to take

nary without a care

a curious chipmunk stops to sniff the ground

where she has passed

open perhaps to the idea that a new breed of

animal to his play of life has just now been

cast

I, in turn greet him with no apparent alarm

for Oh, how I do so love

the gentle sweetness of nature's charm..........
